How to Choose

The Right Monitor for the Right Workstation

On-camera: 5 to 7 inches, 1,000 nits or more for shooting in broad daylight, with false color and focus peaking. Director’s monitor: larger, RF-powered. Set and color grading: calibrated monitors for color evaluation.

Batteries and cables are included with each monitor—specify your camera to ensure you get the right cables (SDI or HDMI).

Frequently Asked Questions

Why 1,000 nits on a monitor?

This is the threshold for viewing the image outdoors in daylight: below this level, you'll be shooting blindly as soon as the sun comes out. Indoors, you can lower the brightness and extend battery life.

Should I use SDI or HDMI to connect my monitor?

SDI as soon as the cable exceeds a few meters: secure and reliable. HDMI is suitable for a monitor mounted on the cage. Let us know which camera you're using—we'll provide the cables and adapters.

Do the monitors come pre-calibrated?

Yes, every screen is checked and calibrated between rentals. What you see is what you record.
