What wattage, what COB?
300d: the all-purpose light source for interviews and small sets. 600d: versatility—powerful enough outdoors, dimmable indoors. 1200d: the backup sun, for lighting through a window or illuminating a wide area. Bi-color or RGB when the color temperature or color needs to be adjusted.
A COB never works on its own: make sure to include the softbox or lantern, and the stand with a sandbag. Include everything in the same quote.
Frequently Asked Questions
Aputure 300d or 600d—which one should you choose?+
In controlled indoor settings, the 300d is almost always sufficient. As soon as you have to deal with sunlight or shoot through a large diffuser, go with the 600d: the difference costs only a few euros.
Do LED floodlights run on batteries?+
Yes, most of them run on V-Mount batteries or power stations, which are perfect for locations without electricity. Specify the shooting duration, and we’ll calculate the number of batteries needed.
Can you control the LEDs from a phone?+
Yes, the latest Aputure and Nanlux models can be controlled via Bluetooth using the Sidus Link app: brightness, color temperature, and effects—all without touching the light.
